Finals Café on November 30th

Ahead of finals, you may be looking for ways to study successfully and manage stress. The Library and Academic Support Center are here to help during Finals Café, running from 6-9pm on 11/30. The Courtright Memorial Library's Reading Diversely Book Club will be meeting on Tuesday, November 28th at 6pm on the second floor of the library to discuss this semester's pick, Season of Love by Helena Greer. The Reading Diversely Book Club is open to all; you don't need to have attended previous meetings to participate. Just read the book and join us! The library ran its first Zines 101 program last year, and it proved so popular we're bringing it back on November 8th at 6pm in the Lower Level Lab! The Friends of 9i¹û¶³ÖÆ×÷³§'s Courtright Memorial Library are pleased to host this year's Common Book author, Abdi Nor Iftin, on Monday, October 23rd for a moderated Q&A. On October 19th at 6pm in LIB 011, learn about the ancient Japanese art of paper marbling, known as suminagashi! You'll learn a little about the history of this technique and you'll have an opportunity to make your own marbled paper. It’s a magical time of year, and the library has just the program for you! Mathemagics will take place on October 4th at 6:30pm, in LIB 118. During Mathemagics, Dr. Jeff Smith of the Mathematics Department will walk you through a series of mathemagical tricks, including mental telepathy, making matter disappear, and a card trick that will astound your friends.
