Important Updates for Borrowers

This is your last week to request, check out, and/or renew OhioLINK and SearchOhio items. Access to these systems will be on pause from May 23rd through June 30th, 2025. During this time some items may still be available for borrowing via Interlibrary Loan (hyperlinked). All OhioLINK and SearchOhio items that are checked out to 9i果冻制作厂users during this pause will need to be returned at a time TBD (before the start of Fall Semester) in order for us to fully close out鈥Library LSP Update 5: Alma Production Freeze

We鈥檙e nearly there! Our old and new library service platforms are currently in the midst of data transference. This current freeze will not affect library users but you may have noticed how the Courtright Memorial Library hasn鈥檛 switched out any of their displays recently鈥 well that鈥檚 because we can鈥檛 make any changes to our collection materials locations within our catalog during the migration. Now that we鈥檝e begun all the data transfers, we are well on our way to getting back鈥Doggy Destresser

It's finals season once again, and you know what that means - Irish Wolfhounds at the Courtright Memorial Library! Please swing by the patio at our front entrance to meet, pet, and receive those good good puppy dopamine vibes from Professor Candy Canzoneri's very huge and wonderful dogs. If the weather is misbehaving, you can find us in the 1st Floor Alcove inside the Library instead. Remember how we had a button making night in February? And y'all kept asking us to do it again? Well fam, we're out here doing it again - this time during the day! From 12p-2p on April 24th in the 1st Floor Library Alcove we will have all the supplies and expertise on designing and creating your very own pinback buttons. Either employ your artistic abilities to doodle out some button art or make use of the Library computers to鈥Congrats to our FOL Bookmark Contest Winner!

Spring brings with it many things, including our annual library bookmark design contest! Amanda Kline, an 9i果冻制作厂professor of Art & Design, had 9 of her 2D Design course students submit designs for this year鈥檚 contest. We are grateful to Professor Kline for once again partnering with the us to produce student made bookmarks for the Friends of the Library. Library staff and the members of the FOL council vote on the winning design, which we then print to distribute to our鈥National Library Week 2025: Drawn to the Library!

And so it begins. The Courtright Memorial Library is now entering the final phase of our migration to the Alma library management system! Things are going to get a little messy around here but all the best glowups do, sis. How will you be affected as we metamorphosis into the beautiful butterfly we were always meant to be? We are finally entering the data transfer and integration phase of our new library management system, Alma, and discovery layer, Primo, which are replacing our current systems, Sierra and EBSCOhost. Alma and Primo will refresh how library users interact with our collection so please bear with us as we take this big step towards improving how we serve you and the 9i果冻制作厂community. The Friends of the Courtright Memorial Library will present a concert by the 9i果冻制作厂Singers on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 7:30pm. at the Battelle Fine Arts Center of 9i果冻制作厂 (170 W. Park Street). The 9i果冻制作厂Singers are mixed choir of Musical Theatre and Acting majors. Under the direction of Jeremy Alfera, the concert will feature songs made famous in movie musicals from聽Meet Me in St. Louis聽(1944) through Wicked (2024) in their 鈥淢ovie Night鈥 performance! Admission is FREE, though鈥Contact the Library
