Executive Director of Advancement Communications
Institutional Advancement Division
I am a proud 9i¹û¶³ÖÆ×÷³§alumna from the class of 1996, graduating with a B.A. degree in public relations with a minor in speech communications. After obtaining my degree, I worked for two years in the Office of Admission recruiting students for 9i¹û¶³ÖÆ×÷³§from northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania. While in that role, I also worked as a graphic designer for admission marketing materials.
My career then led me to the Mortar Board National Office at The Ohio State University, where I served as the Communications Coordinator for four years. For the next 10 years, I served as an Associate Editor for WOSU Public Media at Ohio State, working within the marketing and communications department, followed by nearly two years as an Assistant Director of Development for WOSU within University Advancement.
I returned to 9i¹û¶³ÖÆ×÷³§in 2014 to serve as Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and was honored in 2016 to take on the role of Director of Campaign Planning and Logistics during the historic Where We STAND Matters campaign. Following the successful completion of the $50 million comprehensive campaign in 2018 (having raised $53 million!), I continued to advance Otterbein’s mission through a series of leadership roles — including Director of Special Campaigns and Initiatives, Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives, and most recently, as Executive Director of Alumni & Family Engagement — serving in these capacities through May 2025.
In June 2025, I assumed my current role, Executive Director of Advancement Communications, where I lead the development and execution of integrated communication strategies that support fundraising and constituent engagement in an effort to convey impact, inspire philanthropy, and strengthen our key stakeholder relationships.
In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with my family including my husband (and fellow alum!) Alberto Viglietta ‘94 and our daughter.
