Dr. Kristin Bourdage is a former middle-grades teacher and now teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in literacy and language arts teaching. In addition to her passion for teaching, she enjoys classroom-based research and collaborative projects with teachers to enhance K-12 learning.
Dr. Bourdage’s teaching interests in project-based learning, integrating technology and pedagogy, 4Cs – collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity, and dialogic teaching. Her research interests in discussion as a tool for reading comprehension, dialogic teaching, and instructional coaching in literacy teaching. When Kristin isn’t at Otterbein, she enjoys lots of outdoor activities, gardening, and cooking for family and friends.
