Golden Reunion: Class of 1975

The Class of 1975 Golden Reunion is scheduled for September 26-27, 2025.
The reunion registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 5, 2025.

During your 50th reunion, you can expect plenty of time to reconnect with classmates, take campus tours, hear an update from President Comerford, and more! Book your hotel room (see below) now and plan to arrive on Friday afternoon and leave鈥 well, that鈥檚 up to you!

  • 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. | 猸 1975 Golden Reunion Welcome Check-In and Free Time(Roush Hall, Fisher Gallery)
    • Head over to campus for check-in and enjoy light refreshments including Schneider’s donuts!
    • Choose from these activities:
      • University Archives Open House with Stephen Grinch 鈥98, University Archivist (Courtright Memorial Library, Lower Level)
      • The Promise House Open House (Home Street Commons Apartment Complex Lounge, 86 W. Home St.)
      • Optional Lunch at the Campus Center (vouchers can be purchased in advance via the registration form)
      • Campus Tours (times TBD)
      • Class of 1975 Reunion Tent (Towers Hall Lawn)

    • Annual Alumni Awards Presentation, Donor, and Class of 1975 Legacy Gift Recognition
  • 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. | OtterFest and Homecoming Parade (Towers Hall Lawn)
    • View this annual tradition from the Towers Lawn while enjoying OtterFest, which includes music, Class of 1975 Reunion tent, socializing, and more! Parade begins at 11 a.m.
  • 12 p.m. | 猸 Golden Reunion Celebration Luncheon听(The Point)
    • Join your classmates for lunch and a special program including a Class of 1975 slideshow, remarks from President John Comerford and fellow classmates, class gift update, and more!
  • 1:30 p.m. | 猸 Class of 1975 Photo (The Point)
    • All members of the class will receive a digital copy of the Class Photo
  • 2 p.m. | Homecoming Football Game (Memorial Stadium)
    • All Class of 1975 Reunion attendees will receive complimentary tickets to the football game.
  • 4:30 p.m. | The 1847 Society: Leaving a Legacy at Otterbein (1847 Room, Campus Center 2nd Floor)
    • Join members of the Office of Development to learn more about leaving a legacy at 9i果冻制作厂to help future generations of students, through planned giving. Learn how you can leave a legacy that benefits you, your family, and 9i果冻制作厂by becoming a member of The 1847 Society.

Memory Book - Submissions Due Aug. 1, 2025!

Your class, like Golden Reunion Classes before it, is creating a special 50th Reunion Memory Book. Every member of the class is invited to share their memories of their time on campus 鈥 pictures included!

A secure, easy-to-use form where you can write and submit your entry is below. It can take a narrative form or simply be a bulleted list of memories 鈥 you decide. Whichever style you choose, please limit your entry to TWO pages (about 750 words).

You’re also invited to submit a page in memory of any friends or relatives from the Class of 1975 who have passed.

And remember, even if you can’t make it to your reunion, your classmates will still want to hear your story in your own words.

Legacy Gift

Like most classes celebrating their Golden Reunion at Otterbein, your class is raising funds to mark the occasion. All gifts received through December 31, 2025 鈥 regardless of their designation or purpose 鈥 count towards your total Class Gift.

Your class is creating two special funds to commemorate your 50th reunion and they will support the University Archives and The Promise House.

To support the class gift, you can:

  • Return the gift pledge card from the first reunion mailing you received, or
  • Visit www.otterbein.edu/give and choose the Class of 1975 Gift in the “Designation” field.
  • Individuals who have reached age 72 can make a gift from their IRAs and in doing so may reduce their taxable income. Contact your IRA administrator for more information or to request a transfer. Contact Kathleen Bonte (614-823-1400; kbonte@otterbein.edu), to alert her to any forthcoming stock transfers or IRA distributions.
  • Let the University know of any intentions to remember 9i果冻制作厂in your estate plan.
